  • Milan Design Week 2022

    Volker Haug Studio presents a new series of lighting exploring various expressions of brass: und Messing (‘and brass’).

    The series represents an accumulation of ideas collected over the last two years; disparate designs, sharing a material and a common sentiment.

    Each individual piece reveals the hand of its maker, evoking provenance through nuanced, tactile traces of the processes behind the finished form.

    Volker Haug Studio will present the new series at Via San Maurilio 18 during this year’s Milan Design Week, running from June 7th–12th.

  • American Debut with Colony

    Volker Haug Studio is proud to announce its formal debut in the US through a showcase of six collection pieces in these 'fashion-through-the-times' interiors by renowned gallery and studio Colony.

    Sitting alongside a covetable roster of designers, the Volker Haug lighting pieces will be on view by appointment only at the 40 Bleecker Street apartments in NoHo, NYC from February through April this year.

    Volker Haug Studio will be debuting their Glass Anton Mini at the renowned Lexus Pavilion, designed by Koichi Takada Architects with The Big Group and decorated by florist Joost Baker.

    Also featuring the Studio’s Baby Drop pendant and Wall Stack 3 sconce, Landmark by Lexus is open from November 2nd through to November 9th, 2019.

    For the second consecutive year Volker Haug Studio has been invited to exhibit at Milan Design Week as a part of the Australian Design contingent curated by Emma Elizabeth from Local Design.

    On display will be a portion of the Studios new lighting collection Pyramid Scheme including a wall lamp, sconce, oyster, two pendants and a chandelier.

  • Volker Haug Studio versus John Hogan

    03.04.19

    Volker Haug Studio versus John Hogan is a collaboration of glass and metal brought together through light.

    This is the Studio's first collaboration with Seattle glass artist John Hogan, who is represented by The Future Perfect and has previously worked with renowned designers Bec Brittain and Ladies & Gentleman.

    The exhibition will run from April 9 - 14, 2019 at Via Santa Marta 21 (Via Nerino 8) in the 5Vie District, with the installation space designed by Catherine Jones.

  • Volker Haug Studio x Lane Crawford x Local Design

    In conjunction with luxury lifestyle store Lane Crawford and Emma Elizabeth of Local Design, VHS has designed and released their first functional object.

    Stop and Smell the Roses is a door stop that doubles as a vase.

    The object will be on display during Art Basel Hong Kong and is available for purchase at Lane Crawford's iconic Hong Kong store and online.

  • Business of Design Week Hong Kong

    In collaboration with the National Gallery of Victoria and Creative Victoria, Volker Haug Studio is proud to be participating in the Hong Kong Business of Design Week exhibition.

    The Anton series in aluminium will sit alongside other functional furniture and objects selected by the NGV with architectural and interior practice Design Office.

    The Business of Design Week, in which Melbourne-based design will be celebrated as a partner city to the event, will be held at the Hong Kong Conference Centre from December 3 - 8, 2018.

    Share in Lexus Australia and Volker Haug Studio’s combined love of timeless design and quality craftsmanship by visiting the renowned Lexus Pavilion during this year's Melbourne Cup racing carnival.

    On show at Lexus’ key annual design project will be pieces from Volker Haug Studio’s Anton and Step & Kick series.

  • Rigg Design Prize

    Celebrating the field of Interior Design, this year’s Rigg Design Prize, curated by the National Gallery of Victoria, explores the theme of domestic living and its inherent values.

    Shortlisted entrants include Amber Road, Arent & Pyke, Flack Studio, David Hicks, Hecker Guthrie, Martyn Thompson, Scott Weston Architecture Design, The Society Inc, Richard Stanisich, and of course the lovely Danielle Brustman whose space, titled Inner-terior, features Volker Haug Studio’s Oddments Arc.

    The Rigg exhibition will be open for public access from October 12, 2018 until February 24, 2019.
